The purpose of religion is separation.
We’re in, you’re out.
We are right, you are…
Whatever your belief system, treat others as you want to be treated is a pretty good rule of thumb.
Agree? Disagree?

That’s exactly the foundation of everything. As Rabbi Hillel (110 bce) taught :
The comparative response to the challenge of a Gentile who asked that the Torah be explained to him while he stood on one foot, illustrates the character differences between Shammai and Hillel. Shammai dismissed the man. Hillel accepted the question but gently chastised the man:
“What is hateful to you, do not do to your fellow: this is the whole Torah; the rest is the explanation; go and learn”
Hillel recognized brotherly love as the fundamental principle of Jewish moral law. (Lev. xix. 18).
Religion has been used as a tool to control the masses, keep them ignorant and stop them from thinking.
At the same time convincing people that they belong to some exclusive club, they will be saved, all others
will be damned. Religion is man made which makes them all the same. Saying that a book or books were
written by God and therefore cannot be questioned? Everything and anything should be allowed to be questioned. How else do we progress?
