Artist Comment

This started as an attempt at an abstract. Yet the more I looked at it I realized there was a story. Now it means to me how one must grow up by growing out of the limited world given to us by our parents, education and culture. We can then become whole. Yet if we move too far away from our roots, people then life loses meaning and growth becomes decay and destruction. Therefore, we must live within our context as individuals, not automatons.
