When I saw this image I just wanted to paint the beautiful reds. As I did it I realized how complex it was. There are many reds, plus violets, blues and other accents. Many glazes. This looks better under good lighting. I called it Family later because I wondered why I was attracted to the image. It says so much to me about family, the different sizes, the protective mother, the stalwart father on his stem. The background done quickly and unconsciously, yet it works well.
