I was inspired by this painting by Antonello da Messina over 500 years ago. The colour and the worship and the peacefulness and the spirituality. Today we find our connection with something greater than ourselves through the internet rather than prayer. I saw a mask carved from bone by native people over 3500 years ago. A true and deep connection with spiritual life. It fit perfectly with this image. By following social networks and spending time with a screen instead of people to be one with the crowd, we lose our identity. Like God, we don’t really know who is on the other end of the “line”. Our spiritual experience evolves from our history.
