One of my early portrait tries. A beautiful woman in a magazine. Mine looks more like a young girl though. It was wonderful to paint this, all the experimenting with colours – the violet lips . I could not get over how just the slightest touch of colour anywhere on the face changed her expression. I glazed many times trying to get it right. So magnetic with just one eye.
